Leader of the Assembly/Rosh K’nesset

Daniel Perek :: “I am not making request for these alone, but also for the sake of those who trust in me through their word.  So that they all may be one; just as You, Avi [My Father], are in me, and I am in You, that they also may be one in us; so that the world may believe that You did send me.” ~ John 17:20-21

Daniel is Jewish, but was raised in the Baptist faith in Southeast Texas. He was saved at 9 years old, became devoted to Yeshua at 22 years old, and found the joy of Torah at 24 years old. He then pursued a degree in Biblical Studies, Messianic ordination from a Yeshiva, and a Master’s Degree in History, studying the History of Jews in antiquity and in America. He began his study of Hebrew in 1998 while getting his BA in Biblical Studies. He has since become fluent in Biblical Hebrew, and began study of Aramaic in about 2010. [also enjoyed typical studies of Greek in academic settings].

Daniel founded Mikdash Meh’at and the Messianic Peshitta Fellowship in 2019, after having founded and led another synagogue for twelve years, which was birthed from an eight year home Bible study. Since then, he has written the Messianic Siddur for Shabbat, The Word/HaDavar, a translation of the Bible from Semitic sources only, and other materials for the Messianic community around the world.

Daniel’s deep desire is to share the Light of Messiah Yeshua with everyone in the world who would listen, but, he has a particular desire for the Salvation of Israel and the true unification of the Body, Jews and Gentiles living together under the One Shepherd promised by God: Yeshua, The Son of God, and the only Rabbi of Israel.

Yosef :: “Thus says  יהוה , ‘Stand in the ways and see, and ask for the old paths, “Where is the good way?”, and walk therein, and you shall find rest for your souls’. ” Jeremiah 6:16

Joseph was born and raised in Spring, Texas. Having come to accept Yeshua late in life, he was baptized along with his children in an apostolic reformation setting in July of 2018.

Reading the Bible for the first time, seeing straightaway doctrinal discrepancies, and praying earnestly for truth, Joseph was lead into the Messianic way by asking Abba, ‘What did the first century church look like? How does it function, and where is it today?”

In 2019, finding these answers at Mikdash Meh’at, and serving the Body of Messiah to date, he truly desires to be a simple servant in the Kingdom of Messiah, longing to hear his Adon, Yeshua HaMashiakh, the Son of God, saying, ”Well done, good and faithful servant”.

Adir :: “The fear of יהוה is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the K’doshim is understanding.” ~ Proverbs 9:10

“Do not be afraid of those who kill the body, but who cannot kill the nefesh [soul]; but above all, be afraid of Him who can destroy both the nefesh and the body in Gehinom.” ~ Matthew 10:28

“Therefore you shall love יהוה your Elohim, and keep His charge, and His Khukot, and His Mishpatim, and His Mitzvot, always.” ~ Deuteronomy 11:1

“If you love me, keep my mitzvot.” ~ John 14:15

Albert was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana, and grew up regularly attending church under the United Methodist denomination. Going to church, Sunday school and being involved in youth group activities were a part of normal life for Albert. Baptized in his early teens, he started taking his relationship with Yeshua seriously around that time. Even though life had its moments of drifting, especially during college years, he always found his way back to that foundation.

When Hurricane Katrina moved him to Houston in 2005, it set the stage for a new chapter. Over time, as he got more rooted in the Word, he started noticing that not every church lined up with scripture the way it should. And longing for a place of worship that did line up with scripture (after bouncing around different congregations and watching online congregations in remote locations) led him to discover Messianic Judaism, and in 2016, he found Daniel’s congregation and upon visiting, it felt like home immediately. He took the leap, drove an hour every Shabbat to visit until 4 months later, when he moved to The Woodlands area to be closer with his newfound family.

For Albert, it’s all about living in a way that’s pleasing to God and staying open to being corrected by scripture. He’s passionate about following Yeshua’s example and helping others do the same. Whether it’s using his skills in audio and video or just being a supportive part of the body of Messiah, he’s here to help build a place where people can worship in unity (both Jew and Gentile), grow together, and walk that straight and narrow path. In the end, he just wants to do his best to be like Messiah and to serve where he’s called.
